To implement the work arrangements for cultivating foreign‑related legal talents and raise the professionalism and international standard of lawyers’ foreign‑related intellectual property legal services, the National Training Program for Foreign‑related Intellectual Property Lawyers, jointly organized by the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Ministry of Justice, was successfully held. Director Li Jingjing was invited to this special training program to participate in concentrated studies and practical discussions together with IP‑specialized lawyers from across the country.
Centered on Standard Essential Patents (SEP), this training closely follows the current landscape of global IP competition and development needs of high‑tech industries, building a curriculum integrating theoretical research and practical operations. Lecturing experts delivered systematic sessions covering the development trends of SEPs, judicial application of FRAND rules, analysis of typical domestic and foreign SEP dispute precedents, resolution pathways for cross‑border SEP disputes, corporate standard patent portfolio planning and risk prevention & control, and response strategies for foreign‑related SEP litigations. They thoroughly analyzed legal difficulties, adjudication logic and practical handling solutions in the SEP arena amid the international industrial competition environment.
Group discussions were arranged in the training. Drawing on case practice, participating lawyers held in‑depth exchanges on topics including difficulties in representing foreign‑related SEP cases, differences between Chinese and foreign judicial practices, standard patent legal risks faced by domestic enterprises going global, and innovation directions for foreign‑related legal services. Director Li Jingjing took an active part in group discussions, exchanged case‑handling experience with legal peers from various regions, and jointly explored diversified resolution mechanisms for foreign‑related SEP disputes.
During the training, all participants took a group photo for commemoration. After completing all phases of learning including lectures and group discussions, Director Li fulfilled all learning requirements and successfully obtained the certificate of completion.
