Foreign-related legal service capacity has become an important pillar for the legal profession to serve national strategies and support enterprises in “Going Global”. To improve Xuzhou lawyers’ capability in foreign-related legal services and strengthen the development of foreign-related legal talent teams, the Foreign-related Legal Talent Training Camp organized by Xuzhou Lawyers Association carried out a two-day study tour in Shanghai and Nanjing from September 17 to 18. The delegation visited universities and legal service institutions including Landing Law Offices Shanghai, Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University and Jiangsu (Nanjing) Foreign-related Legal Service Center. They held in-depth exchanges on the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents, lawyer training and practical foreign-related cooperation. The itinerary was intensive and content-rich.
Landing Law Offices Shanghai | Discussing the Expansion of Foreign-related Practices
At Landing Law Offices Shanghai, Directors Tian Lei, Wang Jianyong and other partners warmly received the training camp delegation. They shared an introduction to Landing’s overseas network layout and development of foreign-related businesses. Both sides had extensive discussions on overseas office deployment of law firms, expansion of foreign-related legal services and cross-border legal service cooperation. They exchanged experience and brainstormed practical issues such as supporting enterprises to “Go Global” via overseas networks and building talent pipelines for foreign-related lawyers. The camp participants were deeply impressed by Landing’s in-depth practice in overseas layout and cross-border legal services.
Nanjing University | Visit to the China-Germany Institute of Law
At the Law School of Nanjing University, the faculty arranged a special forum to welcome the delegation. The participants toured the teaching and research facilities of the Law School and visited the China-Germany Institute of Law. Jointly established by Nanjing University and the University of Göttingen in Germany, the institute has long been committed to comparative Sino-German legal research and the training of foreign-related legal talents, serving as a key platform for foreign-related rule-of-law research at Nanjing University Law School. The two sides held discussions covering foreign-related legal research, lawyer training and practical cooperation. They explored ways to further integrate university legal education with legal practice, and exchanged views on translating foreign-related legal research findings into practice and cultivating practical legal talents.
Nanjing Normal University | Focusing on the Cultivation of Foreign-related Legal Talents
The training camp visited Nanjing Normal University and toured its Law School, School of Foreign-related Rule of Law and Foreign Law Verification Service Center. On the electronic screen in the meeting room of the school, the welcome banner “Warmly Welcome Leaders and Experts from the Xuzhou Foreign-related Legal Talent Training Camp” stood out prominently. During the forum, both sides conducted thorough exchanges on topics including foreign-related legal talent training, lawyer training and foreign-related practical cooperation. They shared experience and exchanged ideas on collaborative training of foreign-related legal talents and the practice of foreign law verification, and discussed deepening university-local and university-firm cooperation in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
Foreign-related Legal Service Hub | Experiencing the “Nanjing Practice” of Diversified Dispute Resolution
The delegation visited Jiangsu (Nanjing) Foreign-related Legal Service Center to witness the systematic development of foreign-related legal services in Nanjing.
